The Broughton High School Octane Boosters Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing financial assistance for the Broughton High School Automotive Technology Program and to graduates of the Broughton High School Automotive Technology Program in their pursuit of post-graduate training in the automotive technology field. The office of president is held by an elected parent form year to year.

Located in the heart of Raleigh and near North Carolina State University, Broughton is one of the oldest of 28 high schools in Wake County. In 1929 Broughton began a tradition of excellence which continues today. Highlighting its motto, "Approve Ye That Which Is Excellent," Broughton High School serves a diverse population of over 2,100 young people with an emphasis on academic excellence and community involvement.
