The Broughton High School Profile:
Located in the heart of Raleigh and near North Carolina State University, Broughton is one of the oldest of 28 high schools in Wake County. In 1929, Broughton began a tradition of excellence that continues today. Raleigh is the state's capital, an active business center and the home of five colleges and universities. Highlighting its motto, "Approve Ye That Which Is Excellent," Broughton High School serves a diverse population of over 2,100 young people with an emphasis on academic excellence and community involvement.
Broughton offers strong Honors and Advanced Placement Programs, a Junior ROTC program, and a Transportation Academy along with other innovative academic approaches to learning that prepare our students for success in a global community.
